World Cup 2018, when Argentina was eliminated by France, Messi did not talk to people for almost a whole week afterward, even though he was comforted by his wife and two children.
After overcoming MU to enter the semi-finals of the Champions League this season, Messi did not talk much about the semi-finals or the championship, he told a Goal reporter: “It’s great that I will be able to go home and hug my wife and children.” Sleep. Before, if Barca lost a match, I would close my mind for a few days. Now, just looking at the three children, I calm down. Becoming a father helps me become more mature and feel more responsible for my family and the team. Actually, after the defeat of the Argentina team in the 2018 World Cup, I was no longer haunted so much by losing the match.”

When he became a father for the first time (on November 2, 2012), Messi rented the entire 7th floor of USP Dexeus Hospital near the Nou Camp so that his wife Antonella could give birth. Maria Sol, Messi’s younger sister, had the honor of announcing to all fans the birth of baby Thiago.
Pique clearly remembers the time when Messi first became a father: “His personality changed completely. Messi becomes more open, approachable and wants to chat happily with his teammates more.”
When Antonella gave birth to Messi’s second son – Mateo – the whole Messi family was happy. It was September 11, 2015, Thiagui (as Messi called his eldest son) kept talking when he saw his younger brother’s face. To encourage his wife during her second labor, Messi asked Barca to take a week off from training.
The first time Antonella bloomed, Mundo Deportivo (Spain) newspaper gave Messi a Barca shirt with the number 10 and Thiago’s name printed on the back. Messi was very pleased and still hangs this gift in his bedroom.
In March last year, when Antonella gave birth to Messi’s third child, the Argentine striker asked Barca to take a break from playing in La Liga to be there to support his wife. Baby Ciro has made Messi happier and more motivated to play on the field.
But for Messi that is not enough. Not talking about winning the Champions League this season, Messi admitted to Goal after helping Barca defeat MU 3-0 at Camp Nou: “I want to have another baby soon. Antonella and I decided to give birth soon so that Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro could split into two teams to compete against each other.”
Without saying it out loud, Goal reporter said: Messi is extremely “thirsty” for girls. “Just like Ronaldo and other fathers, Messi always wants to be with his children and family, but he wants to have another girl so he can enjoy the wonderful emotions of being with his children,” Goal said.
