According to several locals, a UFO passed in front of his house and then destroyed a windmill in a nearby field before collapsing. This is known as the Aurora UFO incident.

The UFO reportedly struck a windmill on the property of a J.S. judge, according to the Dallas Morning News, which was written by C.E. Haydon, an Aurora resident, on April 19, 1897. Proctor two days earlier, around 6 a.m., which resulted in this accident
According to a Fort Worth Army reporter, the alien who allegedly operated this UFO had a “Martian” appearance and did not survive the crash, and was later buried with Christian honors in the nearby Aurora Cemetery. And the Texas Historical Commission placed a headstone in the cemetery commemorating the occurrence.
On December 2, 2005, the UFO Files launched an investigation titled “Texas” Roswell. The episode featured a 1973 investigation led by Bill Case, an aviation journalist for the Dallas Times Herald and state director of the Texas Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
MUFON inspected the Aurora Cemetery and discovered a bizarre stone, which was, in reality, a tombstone depicting an alien spaceship; This stone represents the final resting place of what most of the city believes to be an alien creature.
Finally, the MUFON report stated that the evidence was inconclusive. But it did not rule out the likelihood that this bizarre incident occurred on the night of December 31, 1897. Although the cemetery association does not yet allow for exhumation, ground-penetrating radar was employed in the tone. But the condition has deteriorated considerably, and radar has not been able to clearly confirm what is still inside.
