Unraveling the Connection: Puzzling Man’s Remains Found in Proximity to 17-Year-Old Princess’s Burial

In 1960, in Shaanxi province, archaeological experts discovered the tomb of a Tang Dynasty princess . From the information on the tombstone , they learned that this tomb belonged to Princess Vinh Thai Ly Tien Hue, the seventh daughter of Emperor Ly Hien.

According to “Tu Tri Thong Giam”, Princess Vinh Thai died at the age of 17 and was buried with her husband. The cause of death was because the princess, along with her brother and husband, had disagreements about Vo Ze Thien’s male favorite, Truong Dich Chi, so the queen ordered them to be beaten to death.

In another historical record, it is recorded that the princess died because she was given white silk (suicide). However, information on the tombstone revealed that the exact cause of the princess’s death was due to difficulty giving birth.

Experts analyzed the pelvic bones in the grave and found that the bones were not developed enough, so difficulty giving birth was entirely possible. When contacting historical records, experts found that the princess died one day after her husband and brother. This is most likely because when she heard the news of her brother and husband’s death, the princess was so sad that she gave birth prematurely.

Although she died while guilty, Princess Vinh Thai also belonged to the royal family, so her grave was also buried with countless precious possessions. Later, when his father King Ly Hien ascended the throne, he changed the name of the tomb to “mausoleum”.

While excavating on the sixth day, the expert suddenly discovered that next to the princess’s coffin was the skeleton of a man. Next to the remains was a rusted ax, with a hole in the top of this person’s head. This person’s clothes were also almost completely oxidized.

After examining the skeleton, experts learned that this man lived around the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period and the early Song Dynasty. Seeing the skeleton strewn with gold, silver and jewels next to it, experts speculated that this man most likely died from an accident while robbing a grave.

Since ancient times, grave robbing has become an illegal profession to make money, but not everyone knows that grave robbing is like a gamble. You win a lot, but your life is also threatened at any time. . This is truly an unnecessary death!
