United star Kobbie Mainoo ‘Super Happy’ is set to pick up a new bumper deal as he moves to the Spanish giants

Real Madrid is reportedly eyeing Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo, according to an astounding rumor.

Under Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils’ performance has declined this season. Though fifth place in the Premier League might be sufficient to earn a spot in the expanded Champions League for the next season, Man Utd’s ceiling appears to be sixth place.

Due to the Dutchman’s team wasting opportunity after opportunity in recent games, manager Erik ten Hag’s strategies have come under scrutiny.

There have been a few successful games this season, though, such as eliminating Liverpool from the FA Cup and threatening the Reds’ title hopes with a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The biggest benefit for Ten Hag and United this season has without a doubt been Mainoo’s rise to prominence. When Mainoo made his debut and second appearance for the Three Lions in March, he immediately established himself in Gareth Southgate’s England side and appeared comfortable playing internationally.

For the foreseeable future, Mainoo is anticipated to establish himself as the mainstay of Manchester United’s midfield. Although negotiations for a new and better contract are already underway, his present agreement expires in 2027.

However, a startling article from the Spanish publication Don Diario suggests that Madrid may be Mainoo’s true destination.

Real Madrid looks intently at Mainoo – news

They claim that Juni Calafat, head scout for Real Madrid, has deemed Mainoo a fantastic addition to the team’s star-studded midfield.

The job assigned to Calafat is to locate a young midfield player with potential who can impact the game on both the offensive and defensive ends.

Mainoo appears to have been selected by Real Madrid as their new midfield player of choice. The team is looking for a forward-thinking player who can propel them forward.

Mainoo is thought to be a “very interesting” addition for Los Blancos, according to club president Florentino Perez.

Also, if Luka Modric—who is not under contract this summer—leaves at the end of the season, a midfield addition might be necessary.

Though the seasoned German is not a long-term option, Fabrizio Romano reported that Toni Kroos will sign a one-year deal that runs until 2025.

Mainoo may prove to be an excellent addition for Real Madrid, who have struck gold with Jude Bellingham, another Englishman, as midfield spaces are expected to become available.

There was no speculation in the article about how much Man Utd would demand for Mainoo. But selling their newest, homegrown star is the last thing the team needs as they begin a new chapter under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

There is not a shred of evidence that Mainoo would be open to moving from United to Madrid. Moreover, nothing indicates that Manchester United would be willing to sell.

It is noteworthy to mention that Don Diario is not considered one of the more trustworthy sources for transfer news. They do, in fact, have sections on their website dedicated to Spanish celebrities and dogs in addition to football.
