Top 3 Hottest Cowboys to be “Traded” During the 2024 Offseason.

The Dallas Cowboys are one of many teams entering the offseason with some work to do in order to get under the salary cap. The easiest way to clean things up will be to work out a new deal with Dak Prescott, who has a cap hit of $59 million at the moment.

Outside of that move, there are others they can make to chip away at their books. That includes trying to trade a few players, which could solve another problem as well. In 2023, Dallas sent most of their mid-round picks to the Colts and Texans in exchange for Stephon Gilmore and Brandin Cooks.

Perhaps they can send off these three players to free up space while also bringing back some Day 3 picks.

An undrafted free agent in 2022, Peyton Hendershot has been able to see the field quite a bit over the past two seasons. He’s appeared in 25 games and has 15 receptions for 141 yards with two touchdowns. He’s also been handed the ball twice near the goal line, running it in for another score once.

Known for his athleticism, Hendershot helps to stretch the field from the tight end position but is also part of a crowded group. Jake Ferguson emerged as a major threat this past year and while Luke Schoonmaker didn’t wow anyone, the Cowboys still used a second-round pick on him in 2023 and will continue to try and get him rolling.

There’s also John Stephens, Jr. who was exciting as a rookie before suffering a season-ending injury. Dallas could look to try and get something for Hendershot, who has a lot of potential, and roll with their other three players.
