Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said the decision to sign Kai Havertz was not just his.

Speaking to the media, Arteta confirmed that the decision was made together with the sporting director, Edu and other senior club officials.

Havertz arrived from Chelsea in the summer for a fee of around £65 million. Although he struggled to settle in at the Emirates, Havertz scored 11 goals and had 5 assists.

Arteta spoke about the decision to sign Havertz saying: “It was not my decision but our decision. We were extremely consistent in terms of the vision of the club and obviously physically sports, we have made recommendations.”

“A lot of people are involved and then you also need the owners to support you and make things happen.”

Havertz is in good form in front of goal, contrary to the problem of missed opportunities that he often encountered in the past. Arsenal is currently at the top of the rankings, although they have played 1 match more than Man City and only have a 1-point gap with this opponent.
