5 strange tree species that look like they come from another planet, at first glance it looks like photoshop

7-color eucalyptus tree

Eucalyptus deglupta – a giant eucalyptus tree that stands out most in the colors on its trunk. These trees at first glance look like someone painted their trunks, but in fact these are all natural colors.

The rainbow effect is created when the bark of the eucalyptus tree peels off throughout the year, revealing new, bright green bark underneath. Each new layer of bark as this tree matures will change color from lighter to darker, from green, blue, purple to yellow, orange, red and brown. In particular, after the rain, the clearer sky will be the ideal condition for the tree bark to show off its brightest colors.

Baobab tree

Baobab Avenue in the Menabe region, western Madagascar, is famous for its rows of strange trees shaped like they grow upside down. The baobab tree has a smooth trunk with umbrella-like foliage. Each tree here is said to have existed for at least 1,000 years.

Rows of giant baobab trees with sturdy, large trunks reaching straight into the blue sky. Looking back from afar, baobabs are no different from trees planted upside down, with rows of roots growing out.

The tree vibrates

The trembling tree forest is one of the strangest forests in the world as the individual trees here appear majestic and large but are actually hollow and vulnerable.

Interestingly, the vibrating plant is not actually a woody plant like it appears. This is evident in its scientific name, the quivering tree’s scientific name Aloe dichotoma comes from the hollow branches once used by local natives as quivers.

“bald” cypress

The cypress trees growing in Caddo Lake belong to the species Bald Cypress (Swamp Cypress; Taxodium distichum). This is a plant that lives largely in the southeastern United States. Unlike other members of the cypress family, Bald Cypress is not a conifer and usually loses its leaves in the winter, so it is also known as the “bald” cypress.

Rows of trees with a strange appearance like this appearing in the fog can easily make people think they are lost in a ghost land.

Dragon blood tree

The dragon blood tree is the most prominent symbol of Socotra island. The tree has a peculiar shape, with a vertical trunk and arching foliage, like an umbrella or a giant mushroom inflated from the inside out. The leaves are concentrated at the tip and have a spear-shaped oblong shape.

Each individual tree develops like a mathematical law because they branch regularly and very intimately. When cut into the tree trunk, the branches ooze red sap and this is probably the main reason people give the tree the name dragon’s blood.
