Star Miley Cyrus ‘struggling’ drug addiction

Recently, in the latest issue of the magazine Rolling Stone , star Miley Cyrus has revealed a lot of information about her newly released album and personal life. In it, the sharing about drug addiction made fans choked up.

This year’s MTV VMA music awards ceremony gathered an outstanding cast of stars. This is also the first entertainment event held since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic in the United States.

At the end of 2018, Miley Cyrus moved in with Liam Hemsworth in Malibu. The couple, who got engaged after six years of dating, filed for divorce just eight months later. She continued to be sought after by the press when she dated Kaitlynn Carter and male singer Cody Simpson but then went their separate ways.

In November 2019, Miley faced an emergency surgery for Reinke’s edema (due to vocal cord abuse, tobacco and alcohol). The surgery was fortunately successful, but the fear of losing her singing voice became the driving force for her to quit drinking and drugs.

“The voice where I hold most of the value of myself and others” – Miley said – “I tried to shake everything off before I turned 27. Probably around the middle of 26, I was very sober. By the time I turned 27, around November 2019, I had completely quit smoking. Then, like so many people during the Covid-19 pandemic, I relapsed. It was really a struggle. Add to that mental health issues and anxiety, and I couldn’t keep myself together.

However, after the above surgery, she made up her mind to quit her addiction. “I think it will be a cold day in hell if I relapse into drug addiction. I could easily use drugs but I don’t think I would continue to do that” – she expressed.

Sharing about this decision, she said: “Being sober is a choice. It also depends on how you look at it. I think it’s essential to realize my goals now”.

Thanks to that, at the end of last month, Miley released her seventh studio album titled Plastic Hearts. Mark a change in your career and challenge yourself with rock melodies. The album received many positive reviews, simultaneously receiving 4/5 stars from The Independent, The Telegraph and Rolling Stone
