She recently released the music video for Copa Vacia – her new single with Manuel Turizo – in which she transforms into a stunning mermaid.
And Shakira was keen to meet a fellow ‘mermaid’ on Thursday as she headed to the Paris Aquarium to watch one of the shows – where performers show off their free diving skills in the tanks.
The Columbian singer, 46, surprised fans as she dropped in for a visit, telling the crowd: ‘I was told there was a mermaid here! I had to come see it for myself.’
Shakira looked incredible for the trip, showing off her incredible figure in a sexy corset with a sheer panel on the bodice.
She teamed the garment with a pair of black jogging bottoms and flatform shoes, rounding off the look with aviator shades.

Taking to Instagram to show off her look, the mother-of-two wrote: ‘Ready to surprise some fans who are meeting at the Paris aquarium and have no idea I’m coming to see them. Should be fun!
She later shared a video montage of her visit that she captioned: ‘I decided to drop in and surprise my fans when I heard there was another mermaid in Paris! Thank you guys so much for all the love and support!’
Shakira has been in Paris for Haute Couture Fashion Week and has been enjoying seeing all the shows.
She has been using fashion to express herself as she seemingly made a pointed message at her ex Gerard Piqué at the Viktor and Rolf show.
The singer split from the former FC Barcelona and Spain footballer, 36, in June after Gerard was accused of cheating.
And Shakira got the Haute Couture note as she wore the bold coat to the fall/winter 2024 collection showcase on Wednesday.
The white outerwear was emblazoned with the 3D slogan ‘no’ on the front, with Shakira and Camilla seemingly referencing the phrase by wagging their finger to the camera on the front row.
Shakira teamed the look the Aquazzura All Dolled Up Sandal Plateau 140 and the Mini Twist Clutch from the same fashion house.
After her split, Shakira moved to Miami after being awarded full custody of their two children, Milan and Sasha, and has since been romantically linked to Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton.

Taking to Instagram last June, the Colombian singer confirmed that she was no longer with Piqué, but for some the statement was not entirely unexpected.
Spanish tabloids had already claimed couple were on the verge of breaking up, with sources claiming Piqué had cheated on the star.
Her brief statement read: ‘We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.’
Spanish outlet El Periodico reported that the couple had been living separately for weeks after he was kicked out of the family home by the pop star.
Paris Fashion Haute Couture Week kicked off on Monday, but the city has been rocked by a week of violent protests after Nahel M was shot dead in a Parisian suburb on Tuesday.
Celine cancelled their menswear show – which was outside the official calendar – on Sunday due to the chaos as shops were looted, cars were set on fire and fights broke out in the street.
Celine designer Hedi Slimane said it was ‘inconsiderate’ to hold a fashion show when Paris was ‘bereaved and bruised’.
Thousands have been arrested since the protests began, with some 45,000 officers deployed across the country to try and quell the unrest.
