Selena Gomez took on the Big Apple to promote her latest record, Rare, on Monday.
And what better way to start her morning – and her press tour – than by taking a seat and having a chat on the set of Live With Kelly & Ryan.
Selena spoke candidly with Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa about her latest record, said to be inspired by her ex, Justin Bieber.
And she discussed what it’s like being a celebrity that frequently goes out in public.
‘You know, the thing for me is that I don’t draw a lot of attention to myself,’ explained the singer.

The 27-year-old beamed as she arrived to the popular daytime talk show on Monday looking business-chic.
For the outing, Gomez was dressed in a head-to-toe rust-orange ensemble that flattered the singer’s lightly bronzed complexion and raven tresses.
She walked with a pep in her step, as she showed off a pair of stunning, healed faux alligator skin boots.

The boot’s heels featured a unique geometric design that added to the look’s 70s vibe.
Selena has been wearing her hair back in a middle-parted bun that often works to bring attention to bone structure.
With a smile wiped across her face, Gomez happily braved a slew of fans and photographers as she made her way into the morning show studio.
Rare is the follow-up to the singer’s 2015 album, Revival.
Selena worked with co-writers Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels on the album and said she has found a group of people that inspire and challenge her.
Prior to her morning show appearance, Selena shared with Zane Lowe that she believes she’s ‘found [her] group.’
In terms of her overall music making, Gomez thinks she’s ‘getting better and better’ at creating music and evolving as an artist.
‘But I only know that that means it’s because of the people I’m surrounded by that inspire me, that challenge me,’ explained the Rare singer.
On the same day of the album’s release, they got a double-dose of Selena.
She posted the full-length music video for the album’s title track on YouTube and Vevo.
