Scott McTominay reveals the gym tips he got from Paul Pogba and says he had to work “incredibly hard” to make his amazing tough physical now

In an interview, Scott McTominay discussed how hard Premier League football players work out in the gym.

The enormous 6ft 3in athlete has made a strong start to the season with Manchester United. He has five Premier League goals, including two that helped United upset Chelsea 2-1 in early December.

In 2022, McTominay posted an Instagram photo of his well-toned figure while working out late at night before the 2022-23 season.

Now, the 27-year-old has revealed how he drastically altered his figure. He claimed that his former Manchester United colleague Paul Pogba told him about growing muscle.

The Scotland international told FourFourTwo, “I think people would be shocked if they knew how hard players work in the gym and how high of an intensity you have to be to push yourself to reach those goals.”

Paul Pogba is undergoing extra Manchester United training sessions to get healthy and join Bruno Fernandes in midfield.

“I had to put in a lot of effort to get stronger.”According to Paul Pogba, “When you get to 23, you’ll put on the muscle.” When nothing happened, I wondered, “Where is it then?!”

Erik ten Hag may have propelled him up the team hierarchy because he works out frequently. The midfielder has started 12 of United’s 16 Premier League games this season.

McTominay played 24 games for United last season, although the Dutch boss only started him 10 times. He was reportedly in talks with West Ham over the summer to increase his playing time.

He was also United’s captain when they faced Liverpool, where they failed to score due to Bruno Fernandes’ suspension.

McTominay, who has received plaudits for his play this season, stated, “I’m lucky because I’ve always enjoyed going to the gym.” I enjoy modest victories, and I excel at competing in that field.

“The same applies to what I eat and how much sleep I get. “I am very disciplined, and I am proud of it.”
