In Egypt, a Spanish-Italian archaeological team unearths a Tomb of Osiris copy that is exact in every way. The actual tomb is a huge, multi-level structure with a number of chambers and passages.

A staircase leading to the funerary complex, which is adorned with carvings of Osiris, leads down from the building’s spacious hall, which is supported by five enormous pillars.

Demon reliefs were also put throughout the chamber to guard the corpse of the deceased.

The enormous statue of Osiris served as the focal point for the whole tomb structure. Check out this illustration of the entire tomb’s construction:

The tomb was built between 760 BC and 525 BC, which corresponds to the periods of the 25th and 26th dynasties, say researchers.

Based on the architectural and symbolic connections between this tomb and the Oseiron complex, another Osiris-related funeral complex in the Luxor city of Abydos, this estimate was made.

The archaeological team plans to finish its examination at the time-worm funerary complex as soon as feasible.
