Located in southeastern Siberia, close to the border with Mongolia, is the oldest and deepest lake on the planet. Nearly a quarter of Earth’s fresh water is contained here. Astonishing depths of over 1,500 meters have been measured in certain areas.
A myriad of unique species of plants and animals inhabit the icy territory, many of which exist nowhere else in the world. Scientists estimate that this enormous basin formed as an ancient rift valley more than twenty-five million years ago.
For centuries, Lake Baikal has been home to a multitude of unexplained phenomena. Locals claim that numerous peculiar UFO encounters frequently occur in this remote region of Russia. Some theorize that an extraterrestrial base is hidden beneath the picturesque exterior.
One of the most bizarre reports occurred in 1982, during a routine Soviet military training dive. As they navigated the ominous watery kingdom, Navy personnel noticed anomalous figures swimming nearby.
Perplexed, they watched in bewilderment as several curious creatures approached them. Despite being parked at a depth of over one hundred and sixty-four feet, these humanoids did not use modern equipment.
Each donned tight metallic suits complete with a helmet-like apparatus completely covering their heads. Upon closer inspection, the soldiers noticed that the aliens were nearly three meters tall. However, the lake’s colossal inhabitants soon disappeared back into the shadowy abyss.
After this strange encounter, the intrigued commander ordered his recruits to capture an underwater alien. Seven divers entered the glacial lake and began their harrowing descent. Soon after navigating an elevator of decreasing temperatures, multiple entities appeared. A frogman attempted to capture the supernatural specimen in a large net.

At that moment, all hell broke loose for the unsuspecting flotilla group. Suddenly, the non-humans reacted by firing intense sonar waves. A powerful force knocked all crew members unconscious and quickly propelled them to the surface.
Catapulting upwards from extreme depths can have devastating effects on our bodies, resulting in a condition often called “the bends.” Three members of the squad were seriously injured but did not succumb to this disease. The remaining fellows required immediate transfer to a decompression chamber.
Unfortunately, there was only one recompression chamber in the region and it was designed for only two people at a time. Out of sheer desperation, four men entered simultaneously in an attempt to save their lives.
Tragically, this last effort did not go as planned. Three people died as a result of their superior’s hasty decision. Those who survived the terrifying ordeal would be left with life-altering disabilities.
After this harrowing catastrophe, KGB agents ceased further attempts to acquire USO (Unidentified Submerged Object). For decades, the horrific events that occurred remained hidden by high-ranking authorities. Vladimir Azhazha, a former Soviet Navy officer and esteemed ufologist, stated that Russian government executives recently released declassified files.
In these documents, Baikal aquanauts are described in detail. Not surprisingly, Navy commanders extensively monitored several underwater vehicles sailing in the lake.
Such technological capabilities intrigued them greatly; If engineers could replicate the inconceivable speeds of ships, unprecedented militaristic advantages would be gained.
Over the eons, Baikal has been no stranger to mysterious UFO activities. In the late 1950s, a TU-104 jet crashed into the lake after being pursued by an unknown metallic vehicle. The frantic pilot radioed a distraught message to air traffic controllers informing them of this alleged attack.
According to informants, all employees on duty at the time were required to sign confidentiality agreements. Numerous fishermen in the community testified that they saw the frightening air attack.
Fishermen described how a silver flying saucer chased a plane until it crashed into the water and disappeared from sight. Despite considerable testimony, conclusive evidence or official records of this event never emerged.

In April 2009, the enigmatic Siberian sector once again made global news. Astronauts aboard an international space station have photographed two circular breaks in convection, believed to have been produced by huge water vessels. One was located near the center of the lake, while the other was positioned at the southern tip of Baikal. Both appeared to have been created by something rising beneath the thick, ice-laden outer layer.
The pair of disc-shaped cracks were perfectly symmetrical and surprisingly measured five kilometers in diameter. These immense fractures were so precise that they made it impossible to fabricate or replicate them. Certain researchers believe that images produced by NASA are evidence of spacecraft emerging from the dark waters below.
Just a few years ago, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev made a shocking announcement at the World Economic Forum. In his public statement, he lamented how “the time has come” for the world to know the truth about extraterrestrial visitors.
In fact, Medvedev believes that aliens already live among us and have done so for some time. Even more brazenly, the political leader warned that if US authorities refuse to present this monumental information, Russian representatives themselves will do so.
Given recent UFO-related announcements and leaked files, it is entirely plausible that the Kremlin is preparing for full disclosure. Perhaps sooner than we think, the surprising truth about interplanetary beings will finally be recognized by those who have always known.
