The reason Henry Cavill hates doing 18+ scenes

In the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Henry Cavill said he didn’t think the sensitive scene benefited the film or the audience. According to the actor, today, the 18+ scene is overused and this is the time for filmmakers to ask: “Is this really necessary or are people simply wearing less clothes?”.

Cavill – who once took off his clothes in the series The Tudors and more recently The Witcher – admitted feeling uncomfortable when asked to act in a sexual scene. “Every time like that, I think there is no performance here at all. There are no hot scenes that take place throughout the rest of the movie.”

For the 41-year-old star, hot scenes can help the movie attract viewers and partly help tell the story. However, most hot scenes now no longer serve their intended purpose because they are overwhelmed by the audience’s imagination.

“It might be a bit risky if a TV show or movie only shows the body in motion,” Cavill emphasized.

Also in the podcast, Cavill shared an embarrassing memory from participating in The Tudors (2007). The actor playing the Duke of Suffolk – Charles Brandon, was very embarrassed by the situation of “being told and not being listened to” when filming the sex scene with his female co-star.

After the scene, he apologized to his co-stars and tried to control his emotions next time.

Henry Cavill was born in 1983, is a famous British actor. Mass audiences love Cavill for his muscular, handsome appearance as Superman in the DC superhero series. After leaving the studio, the actor has new projects but has not really exploded.

According to Variety , recently, the movie Argylle featuring the most beautiful man of 2022 only earned a mere 6.5 million USD in North America on opening day and early screenings. In addition to Cavill, this film also features a cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Dua Lipa, Samuel L. Jackson and John Cena.
