A professional performance in N5 🙌

Arsenal temporarily reclaimed the top spot in the rankings from Liverpool.

At Emirates Stadium, Arsenal “transformed” compared to their defensive performance against Man City a few days ago. The “Gunners” raised their squad high and put pressure on the away team Luton from the final third of the opponent’s field.

Stifling pressure from the home team caused Luton to only last more than 20 minutes. In the 24th minute, from Emile Smith Rowe’s steal in the middle of the field, Martin Odegaard had a combination with teammate Kai Havertz.

It was the German player who set up the field for Odegaard to finish the ball into Luton’s net to open the score. In this match, coach Mikel Arteta made many adjustments compared to the confrontation at Man City Stadium in round 30.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Smith Rowe, Trossard, Partey and Reiss Nelson are the main players, to help rest the other pillars. However, with the machine running quite smoothly, adjusting nearly half of the squad does not cause Arsenal’s offensive power to decline.

In the 44th minute, it was Smith Rowe who made an uncomfortable cross that caused the visiting team’s defender Daiki Hashioka to score an own goal.

In the remaining minutes, Arsenal proactively played slowly to preserve the score. 2-0 was also the final result, enough to help the home team at Emirates Stadium get all three points and return to the top of the Premier League with 1 point more than Liverpool, but also playing one match more than “The Kop”.
