Foden said after the match: “Fortunately, I won the free kick and Marcus did the rest. He is definitely top 3 in the world in terms of kicking skills . If Marcus could get the ball in goal, he will get many goals.”
Rashford is currently ranked alongside Cody Gakpo, Kylian Mbappe and Enner Valencia as the top scorer at the World Cup, and Foden confirmed the Red Devils star’s importance to the Three Lions.
“Marcus has great talent, he is unbelievable, ” Foden added. “Today you can see how important a role he will play for the team in the next stages. We will definitely need him.”
