Raphael Varane could once again reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, as Al Nassr looks to take advantage of his desire to leave Manchester United.

According to  the Daily Star , French player Raphael Varane has become “disillusioned” with Manchester United and will leave when his contract expires in the summer. Meanwhile, Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League want the defender and are ready to offer him a staggering contract worth £50 million ($62.7 million) per year to lure him to the Middle East.

If Varane agrees, he will be reunited with his trusted partner Ronaldo again. The pair were teammates at Real Madrid for five years and won an astonishing four UEFA Champions League titles together, before they returned to Man United for Ronaldo’s second spell with the Red Devils. The Portuguese player then left at the end of 2022 after publicly disparaging the Old Trafford team. Since then, CR7 has settled into a good life in this Gulf country, causing a series of stars in Europe to follow in his footsteps and join the tournament with huge salaries and bonuses. 

Varane will not only have the opportunity to reunite with Ronaldo at Al Nassr, he will also be teammates with stars such as Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte at the Riyadh-based team, while his former teammate at Man United, Alex Telles also moved to the club last summer.

According to multiple sources, the 30-year-old defender is increasingly frustrated at not being able to play this season, as his frustration with Erik Ten Hag has been made clear. However, Varane could face immediate action if fit after news of Lisandro Martinez’s recent knee injury in Man United’s 3-0 win over West Ham in round 23 of the Premier League. England 2023/24.
