“Michelle Rodriguez shines in chic white attire while enjoying a leisurely stroll in Cannes alongside her close friend Mohammed Al Turki”

After announcing her comeback to the Fast & Furious series, Michelle Rodriguez is clearly feeling over the moon. The 40-year-old actress was all smiles as she wandered around the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Michelle Rodriguez was all smiles as she enjoyed a leisurely walk at the Cannes Film Festival in France earlier this week. Her sunny mood was surely lifted even more by the company of her best friend, Mohammed Al Turki, who affectionately put his arm around her as they arrived at the Martinez Hotel. Michelle sported a chic all-white ensemble, complete with a leather jacket, sheer top, and trousers. To add a pop of contrast, she paired the outfit with strappy black leather sandals accented with gold studs.

Friends: Certainly contributing to the cheerful mood of the 40-year-old celebrity was the presence of her close friend Mohammed Al Turki, who affectionately put his arm around her as they made their way to the Martinez Hotel.

Chilling together: It was clear that the two had a great time hanging out. Rodriguez added a stylish touch with round designer sunglasses featuring mirrored lenses. Her shoulder-length brown hair was left loose with a middle part, showing off her natural beauty by going without makeup. Meanwhile, film producer Mohammed, 32, kept it casual in a black hoodie and white pants that coordinated with Michelle’s outfit, paired with black leather espadrilles.

Relaxed: Michelle was looking effortlessly cool in an all-white ensemble, complete with a leather jacket thrown over a sheer top and trousers.

Beautiful: Her chestnut hair flowed effortlessly in a casual middle part, showcasing her bare face and embracing her natural beauty with no makeup.

Fashion-lover Rodriguez rocked a chic pair of round designer sunglasses with reflective lenses. The dynamic duo even took their friendship to the next level by arriving together on a small boat. This fun outing happened shortly after the exciting news broke that Rodriguez will be making an appearance in Fast & Furious 9. During an appearance at the Bloomberg Equality Summit in London, the San Antonio native, known for her role as Letty Ortiz Toretto since 2001, confirmed her role in the upcoming action-packed film. Rodriguez revealed that Universal Pictures responded to her concerns two years ago by bringing a female writer on board, preventing her from having to bid farewell to the beloved franchise.

Dressed in coordinating outfits, film producer Mohammed, 32, opted for a comfy black hoodie paired with white trousers that matched Michelle’s ensemble. The Machete Kills star confidently announced at the event in England that she would be taking on the ninth project, after Universal Pictures executive Donna Langley agreed that a female perspective was needed in the writers’ room. Rodriguez expressed her frustration with the lack of female representation in the franchise, stating that she found it annoying to have her character filtered through only male voices. She emphasized the importance of having a female voice present to truly capture the essence of her character.

Causing a stir: The close pals decided to take their bond to the ocean, arriving together on a tiny boat.

Great moments: The group of friends chuckled together.
“I’m getting tired of juggling being a writer and an actress,” she mentioned. “It’s nice to have that creative freedom, but it feels a bit superficial.”
Rodriguez also pointed out the lack of interactions between her character Letty and other female characters in the Fast & Furious series, such as those played by Jordana Brewster, Gal Gadot, and Charlize Theron.
“I can count on my fingers how many times I’ve had a conversation with my female co-stars,” she revealed. “It’s disheartening. For example, Jordana, who played my on-screen sister. After 16 years in the franchise, I can still count the times we’ve actually talked on screen, and that’s just sad.
“I insisted that if I come back, there should be a female writer to help bring a female perspective, and finally, they listened and made it happen.”
Fast & Furious 9 is expected to hit theaters on May 22, 2020, while the next spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, is set for release on August 2, 2019.

Venturing forward: Following recent news of her upcoming role in Fast & Furious 9, she was spotted on an outing just a few days later.
