Messi scored in the 90+2 minute to retain 1 point for Inter Miami 👏 It’s still Messi who saved the team

After winning against Real Salt Lake on the opening day of the new season, where Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both assisted, Inter Miami entered round 2 of MLS 2024 with an away match to LA Galaxy’s stadium.

The match got off to a fiery start. Galaxy stars Riqui Puig and Joseph Paintsil made early moves towards Inter Miami’s goal, but goalkeeper Drake Callendar emerged as the best player in the early going.

Callendar made 3 early saves to help Miami keep a clean sheet in the first half. Messi tried to finish but failed. He created opportunities for Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez, but Suarez was not ready to take a shot at goal, and Alba was offside.

In the 75th minute, Dejan Joveljic shot with his left foot into the center of the goal from a very close distance to open the score for the match.

Near the end of the match, the home team lost Mark Delgado after he received the second yellow card of the match. At minute 90+2, Messi ran perfectly to catch the ball and shot the shot to set the score 1-1 for the match,  thereby Miami continued to top the East Coast rankings.
