It’s hard to imagine that Megan Fox had any former flames since she’s so loved up with Machine Gun Kelly. But before the rapper came on the scene, Hollywood’s favourite femme fatale had a ‘totally romantic’ entanglement with one of her former co-stars.

It’s the relationship we were all rooting for since the moment we watched Transformers for the first time – the real life Mikaela Banes and Sam Witwicky. Fox has revealed that their sizzling on-screen chemistry wasn’t just believable because her and Shia LaBeouf are brilliant actors, as it had a lot to do with their mutual attraction that continued even when cameras stopped rolling.
The Jennifer’s Body star dished the dirt about what really went down between them when they started filming the sci-fi action films back in 2007. After shooting the first movie and teaming up again in 2009 for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the duo struck up a romance but tried to keep it under wraps.
But two year’s later, LaBeouf somewhat confirmed his fling with Fox during an interview with Details magazine. The Even Stevens actor said: “Look, you’re on the set for six months, with someone who’s rooting to be attracted to you, and you’re rooting to be attracted to them. “I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.”
You certainly can.
Despite his admission, Fox remained tight lipped about their relationship until she was prodded for details about it during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. The mum-of-three was on the talk show alongside Tyra Banks when she was challenged to a game of ‘Plead The Fifth’ – where the host asks her a series of questions and she can only refuse to answer one. Cohen asked Fox: “Your Transformers co-star Shia LaBeouf affirmed that he had a romantic relationship with you on set. “How would you characterise your relationship then?”
Instead of chickening out, the actress decided the time was right to share her side of the story. Fox replied: “I mean, I would confirm that it was romantic. I love him, I have never been really quiet about that, I love him.” Cohen then asked her to clarify if it was just an on-set romance that didn’t go anywhere afterwards, while Banks offered up the phrase ‘showmance’. The Rogue star then simply added: “Yeah.”
Social media users were thrilled that Fox finally confirmed that her and LaBeouf had got together. One said: “When she answered that question about Shia and her, we all know that the ‘on-set’ romance went somewhere. Her face said it all!! Lol.” Another wrote: “I always thought that Shia and Megan were meant for each other.”
A third added: “They had great chemistry in the movie. Not surprised they’d probably go for each other in real life.” And a fourth chimed in: “I think Megan still has a thing for Shia. Well dang.”
