Chelsea legend John Terry advises young players to take inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo – who is doing unbelievable things in the Saudi Pro League.
In a recent interview with Markus Fjortoft that reappeared on social networks, John Terry had compliments for Cristiano Ronaldo :
“For any young player, I would say Cristiano Ronaldo is the role model you have to follow. Doing what he is doing at this age is an amazing, amazing thing.”
John Terry, when he was playing at Chelsea, had great confrontations with Cristiano Ronaldo for Man United. The English midfielder had enough emotions to affirm the class of the Portuguese superstar.
Ronaldo ended the 2023 calendar year successfully by becoming the world’s top scorer with 54 goals for club and national team. The Portuguese player is also the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League so far with 21 goals. Former Chelsea captain Terry praised star Al-Nassr for playing stably in Saudi Arabia at the age of 39 and also advised young players to seek inspiration from the winner of five Golden Ball titles.
There is no stopping the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star as he continues to score goals since matches resumed in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. He also scored in both legs of the AFC Champions League round of 16 match against Al Feiha. That will be a great stepping stone for Ronaldo to head to this summer’s big tournament, Euro 2024 taking place in Germany.
Back to reality, Ronaldo will next feature for Al-Nassr on Sunday when they face Al-Shabab in a Saudi Pro League clash.
