Lionel Messi’s six game-worn 2022 World Cup kits have sold for staggering amount of money – more than 23 salaries of his Inter Miami teammates combined!

    At Sotheby’s auction house, the World Cup-winning jerseys sold for an absolutely wild $7.8m (£6.1m), with each jersey averaging a fee of $1.6M (£1.2m). The announcement comes just over a month after Messi was handed his eighth Ballon d’Or – a world record – and less than a year from their triumphant victory in Qatar against France in the final of the tournament.
