Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are set to take the pitch vs FC Dallas on January 22 for a preseason friendly.

  • The Herons announced that the match will be the final preseason friendly scheduled ahead of their “historic” World Tour before the 2024 campaign gets underway. On top of FCD, the Herons will travel to El Salvador, Asia, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

  • “We are pleased to be able to play in a historic venue like the Cotton Bowl as part of our 2024 preseason preparations,” said Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson. “This match against FC Dallas will provide us with a great test against MLS opposition ahead of our fifth season for Inter Miami. We’re looking forward to making this our most memorable campaign yet.”

    Chief Business Officer Xavier Asensi added: “We’re excited to have secured the final match of what will be a historic preseason for Inter Miami and MLS. We’re proud to embark on this journey that no other team in league history has experienced, and look forward to captivating our worldwide fan base with our 2024 preseason tour.   • Miami’s preseason is set to begin on January 19 and wrap up on February 15, with five different countries on the map for their tour. It will be fans’ first chance to get a look at Luis Suarez in action, as the squad will certainly look to replicate 2014 Barcelona with the Uruguayan alongside ex-Catalan teammates Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets.
