Lionel Messi is one of the greatest stars in world football history. Messi made a name for himself, reaping a series of noble individual and collective titles in the Barcelona shirt. It can be affirmed that the home team at Nou Camp became the launching pad to help Messi sublimate and become a global football superstar.
In the summer of 2021, Messi caused a big surprise when he left Barcelona and joined PSG. Unfortunately, the 36-year-old star’s time at PSG did not leave much of an impression. In the summer of 2023, Messi ‘migrated’ to MLS, joining the Inter Miami team.

According to La Liga president Javier Tebas; Messi and Barcelona were very close to reuniting. However, the deal collapsed when the Nou Camp team faced major financial barriers. Sharing with Kick TV, Javier Tebas said:
” From my personal perspective, Messi and Barcelona are very close to reuniting. When love appears, all economic issues will be put aside. I see that scenario as completely possible. I realized that the two sides were very close to each other. I’m sure Messi wants to retire at Barcelona .”
