Lady Gaga hints at new songs as she marks her 38th birthday in radiant post: ‘I am writing some of my best music in as long as I can remember’

Lady Gaga hinted at new music as she marked her 38th birthday on Thursday.

The singer, who marked her special day with a blow-out bash in Santa Monica, California, detailed plans for new songs four years on from the release of album Chromatica, as she spoke about her hopes for the coming year.

‘Today has been so special—I can’t remember a time I was so happy on my bday,’ the hitmaker penned in a long message on social media.

She appeared to be makeup free, sitting in her car in photos posted on the platform.

Her long, blonde hair was allowed to hang around her shoulders in natural waves, and her eyebrows appeared to have been bleached to match her mane.

‘I am in love with my best friend,’ she wrote referring to her romance with boyfriend Michael Polansky, ‘my family and friends are loving and kind and healthy,’ she said.

‘I feel like my heart is bursting with gratitude for my own health and MUSIC, she penned.

‘I am writing some of my best music in as long as I can remember,’ the artist declared tantalizingly . 

‘Thank you thank you thank you for loving me the way you do and for having such a real love for my songs,’ she said.

‘I’ve been writing ❤️pop songs since I was a little girl I can’t believe I still get to do what I love.’

‘This year will be an important and meaningful year for us I know. Music changes people lives I’m so honored I get to be a part of that in this life.’

Since the beginning of the year, the Oscar winner has been sharing snaps and clips of herself in the studio.  

The last album the Golden Globe winner released was Chromatica in April 2020.

The versatile singer and musician will be returning to Las Vegas for more dates on her Jazz & Piano residency which will run June 19-July 6 at the MGM Dolby Live

The year ahead also includes Lady Gaga’s turn as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, scheduled for release October 4
