In Jennifer Lopez’s latest documentary titled Halftime , the singer expressed her disappointment when the NFL (American Football Federation) decided she would perform the show with Shakira.

“This is the worst idea in the world when they think it takes two people to perform the Super Bowl,” J.Lo told her music director, “It’s seriously the worst idea.”

One of the reasons is because the performance time is too short for two people to perform together in this show. “We only have 6 minutes. 30 seconds for 1 song and if we use 1 minute then that’s it, it only takes 5 minutes,” the On The Floor singer shared in the documentary, “But, yeah There are certain songs that we have to sing, we have to have our own singing moments. This is not a dance performance, we need to sing our message.”

Also in this documentary, the singer’s manager – Bobby Median – further explains his disappointment with the NFL’s decision to have a Halftime show at the Super Bowl in 2020. Accordingly, normally the Super Bowl only has one Performing artists and artists will choose whether or not to add their guests. The fact that the NFL “needs 2 Latino artists to do the job of 1 normal artist is an insult”.

“If they were the two main artists, they should have given us 20 minutes. That’s what they should have done,” the female singer continued angrily.
