When Jennifer Lawrence stepped out for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire press conference in Beverly Hills on Friday, her short cropped locks looked juts like Victoria Beckham’s old favourite ‘do from 2007.
At least the 23-year-old actress – who has said she chopped off her long mane because it was ‘awkward’ and ‘gross’ – skipped the zebra tank top and hot pink bra look in favor of a classed-up ensemble that included a silky light grey top and black blazer.
Familiar! As Jennifer Lawrence played around with her new short ‘do on Friday, her look echoed one of Victoria Beckham’s old favourites from 2007
It was a press conference for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, held at the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel, and Jennifer was positively glowing as she posed for happy snaps in the hotel’s lush gardens.
She dressed herself beautifully in a flattering pair of black wet-look skinny jeans, which she teamed with a loose flowing grey top beneath an elegant black blazer, solidifying her position as a mature and intelligent role model for young women.
The pretty, radiant star could not stop smiling and was a picture of elegance as she showed off her fun and grown up new image.

‘It grew to that awkward, gross length’: The star revealed more on why she went for the big chop
Victoria Beckham made the short in back and long in front look famous in 2007.
There were stark similarities between the two as Jennifer played around with a messily styled look while she was promoting her new movie.
The Silver Linings Playbook actress initially said that she cut her hair because it had become ‘fried’ from frequent dying, but she gave further insight during a recent Yahoo interview.

‘My hair couldn’t get any uglier,’ she said during an interview with Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer on Thursday as part of her Hunger Games promotional tour. She was referring to the length it was before she had hairdressers take the scissors to it.
Explaining what lead to her decision to lob it off, she said: ‘I don’t know, I cut it earlier, and it was just kind of like [shoulder-length] and it grew to that awkward, gross length.’
‘I just kept putting it back in a bun, and I said, ‘Well I don’t want to do this,’ so I just cut it off.’
Jennifer has always been a strong advocate of healthy body image and treating your body the way you want to treat it, as opposed to being dictated by social pressures to conform and this recent decision confirms her confidence to be herself.
