International Stars Shine:Liverpool star Bradley and Szoboszlai Impress with Goals as Diaz recorded an assist

On Tuesday night, Northern Ireland defeated Andy Robertson’s Scotland 1-0 thanks to a goal from Conor Bradley, his first as a senior international.

The Liverpool full-backs had rather different nights at Hampden Park. Shortly after Bradley’s goal in the first half—in which he regained possession before burst into the area and found the top corner thanks to a tiny deflection—Robertson was substituted due to what appeared to be an injury.

In addition to scoring goals, Dominik Szoboszlai led Hungary to a 2-0 friendly victory over Kosovo. In Budapest, the Reds midfielder opened the score just before the hour.

Both Ibrahima Konate and Luis Diaz won in friendly matches.

While France and Konate, who played the entire 90 minutes, overcame Chile by the same score in Marseille, Diaz registered an assist before coming off the field midway through the second half as Colombia upset Romania 3-2 in Madrid.

In the final ten minutes of England’s 2-2 friendly draw with Belgium at Wembley, Joe Gomez took over for the injured John Stones. Meanwhile, in Frankfurt, Virgil van Dijk, who started and completed the game, and late substitute Cody Gakpo played in the Netherlands’ 2-1 defeat to Germany.

Kostas Tsimikas suffered grief after Greece lost the Euro 2024 play-off final to Georgia 4-2 on penalties. Tsimikas did not take a penalty kick in the shootout, although he did play the entire 120 minutes of the 0-0 tie in Tbilisi.

Six Liverpool players participated in youth internationals in the interim.

Continuing his excellent play for the England U21s, Harvey Elliott assisted on two goals in a 7-0 victory over Luxembourg. Elliott and Jarell Quansah participated in the European Championship qualifying from start to finish.

Finally, Lewis Koumas and Terence Miles began as Wales U21s lost 2-0 to Morocco U23s in a friendly match. Luke Chambers and Kaide Gordon were engaged as the England Elite Squad (U20s) defeated Czechia 3-1.
