Henry Cavill’s 4 Brothers: All About Piers, Niki, Simon and Charlie

British actor Henry Cavill is best known for his role as Superman in Man of Steel, Justice League and Black Adam alongside his fellow DC heroes. In his personal life, the actor has a brotherhood of his own with Piers, Niki, Simon and Charlie Cavill.

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Henry spoke about growing up in a household full of boys.

“I have four brothers,” he told host Jimmy Kimmel. “I’m number four out of five, so the second youngest. … The eldest gets the toughest game, 100%, because they get all the discipline. By the time it gets to us, it’s all just free-for-all.” The Cavill brothers were born to Colin Cavill, a stockbroker, and Marianne Dalgliesh, a secretary, and raised on the island of Jersey.

The Witcher actor told British GQ that his favorite activity is playing video games with his brothers, even today. Although his brothers opted to stay out of the limelight, Henry often shares snaps of them hanging out together.

“Durrell challenge adventure today with Team Cavill! Nik, Charlotte and I have now done 5 years of Durrell Challenges together,” the actor wrote on Instagram alongside his brother Niki and sister-in-law Charlotte. The three walked 13 km throughout London’s parks to raise money for wildlife conservation.

At the start of 2022, the star also shared that he spent the holiday season with family.

“My brother and I spent a lot of time around the big green egg! All the food we put on there just won’t fit into this post so you’ll just have to imagine it!” he wrote alongside photos of their meal. “The Christmas dinner cook was the most taxing, but the most rewarding.“

Piers Cavill is Henry’s oldest brother. While he leads a very private life, Piers has supported his younger brother’s acting career. In 2018, Piers walked the red carpet alongside Henry at the London premiere of Mission: Impossible — Fallout.

Piers attended boarding school and was previously an officer in the British armed forces. According to Piers’ LinkedIn profile, he has since worked in the architecture and construction industry.

Niki Richard Dalgliesh “Nik” Cavill is the second-oldest Cavill brother and was born in the 1970s. He is a soldier in the Royal Marines. In March 2012, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, or an MBE, by Queen Elizabeth for his service in Afghanistan.

“Maj. Cavill led a counter-insurgency campaign in Afghanistan that involved placing small groups of men with the embryonic Afghan local police,” the BBC reported.

A statement about his dedication to the Royal Marines read, “His judgment was unerring as he detained some perpetrators of the violence and decisively engaged others with force calibrated with extraordinary care.”

Henry is a huge supporter of his brother, who, in 2014, became an ambassador for the Royal Marines Charity.

“I choose to support this charity, not only because of my obvious familial connection, but because of the deep respect I have for the Royal Marines as men and as a corps,” the Justice League star said in a statement.

In 2002, Niki became engaged to Charlotte-Rhodes Brooks, according to The Times.

Simon Granville Dalgliesh Cavill is the third oldest Cavill brother. While Simon has stayed out of the spotlight, Henry did speak about his older brother to Kimmel.

Kimmel asked if all the Cavill brothers had the same athletic physique.

“We’re all of a similar size,” Henry said. “But I was smart, I never picked battles with them. My [older] brother, one up, was four years older than me. He was considerably larger and incredibly strong. Simon — he was so strong that we would make fun of him by saying ‘Hulk smash’ every time he got angry.”
