Henry Cavill becomes Wolverine in pitch-perfect Marvel Cinematic Universe fan art. The actor has become famous for playing perhaps the most recognizable superhero ever — Superman — in the DCEU. However, now that David Corenswet has taken over the role for the new DC Universe, Cavill could play an MCU hero to keep being part of a major superhero movie franchise.
On Instagram, artist @21xfour shared an impressive look at Cavill as the MCU’s Wolverine.
Cavill is one of the many actors who have been fancast to take on the role of Logan in the MCU whenever the X-Men are introduced to the universe. Based on his fan-favorite turn as the gruff Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, the actor would be an excellent choice to play Wolverine in future MCU movies after Hugh Jackman retires from the role.

What Marvel Movie Roles Henry Cavill Could Play In The MCU
Cavill Would Be Great As Both MCU Heroes And Villains
While The Witcher has shown that Cavill could be fantastic as Wolverine, there are other roles for him if the actor ever joins the MCU. Continuing with the X-Men, the actor could give life to another major member of the team. As Superman in the DCEU, Cavill showed that he has the skills to deliver an inspirational and confident Cyclops in the MCU, making him the leader of the X-Men that Fox’s movies failed to present.
Cavill’s filmography has also shown that the star would be an interesting choice for a villain in the MCU. Among the many characters that have been thrown around by fans for Cavill is none other than Doctor Doom. Cavill is a great physical actor in the sense that he can give so much away without having to say any lines, simply through his body language. If Doctor Doom were to pretty much always keep his iconic mask on, then Cavill could make the villain as nuanced as he needs to be despite being barely shown onscreen.
Finally, Cavill has already revealed that he would be interested in playing Captain Britain in the MCU. As the character is part of the multiversal team known as the Captain Britain Corps, it would make sense for Brian Braddock to make his MCU debut during the Multiverse Saga. The MCU has also teased the formation of a team of British heroes in Secret Invasion, and that could lead to Henry Cavill‘s favorite MCU casting choice coming true.
