Wildlife SOS meticulously tracked Priyanka’s movements for close to a year, amassing crucial evidence that ultimately led to her rescue.

Priyanka was discovered in profound neglect, her six-day rescue operation revealing the extent of her suffering.

Afflicted by progressive blindness, arthritis, degenerative joint disorder, and painful foot issues, her plight was a tragic testament to the consequences of exploitation.

This poignant rescue mission, executed with the collaborative support of the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department and local Police, finally ended Priyanka’s illegal use in processions and wedding ceremonies.

Her liberation on November 23rd marked a triumph of dedication and teamwork, affirming the importance of safeguarding these majestic creatures for future generations.
