In a recent sharing, Gabriel Magalhaes praised his partnership with William Saliba in the heart of Arsenal’s defense. 

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba played important roles under coach Mikel Arteta. They combined very well in the center of Arsenal’s defense, helping the London team’s defense become much more solid. 

Last season, these two midfielders helped Arsenal get close to winning their first Premier League title since 2004, but a decline at the end of the season caused the home team at Emirates Stadium to lose the championship to Man City. This season, Arsenal is once again racing for the championship. They are leading in the Premier League, equal on points with Liverpool and 1 point ahead of Man City. 

Gabriel Magalhaes shares about his relationship with William Saliba

Speaking ahead of the match against champions Man City at the Etiahad on March 31, Gabriel opened up about his relationship with Saliba. “ We speak the same language,” he said. I’m Brazilian but I speak French.

On the field, communication is very important. We are good friends and sometimes I need to say: Oh Saliba! Damned! He would say that to me too. That’s good for us. He understands me and I understand him.”

Meanwhile, Saliba talked about his relationship with Gabriel, sharing: ” I like him, he also likes me very much. It’s so easy to play with him!”

In the same interview, Gabriel and Saliba also confirmed that Arsenal’s Jorginho will be a coach one day.
