A FEW Manchester United players are allegedly alarmed by Erik ten Hag’s demanding training schedule.
It’s thought that some of the club’s players are finding the Dutchman’s demands to be unreasonable.
This season, Man United has suffered 47 different illnesses and injuries.
Players have missed one or more games at a time due to these problems.
The Red Devils were without nine first-team players for the Manchester Derby, which they lost 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Out of all the outfield players on the team, only Diogo Dalot, Alejandro Garnacho, and Bruno Fernandes have escaped injuries.
According to the Manchester Evening News, a “minority” of the players are “concerned”.
Ten Hag’s ongoing demands on his players are allegedly the source of their concerns.
It is implied further that they think it has contributed to the team’s challenging on-field season.
Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans were taken off the pitch during Sunday’s loss.
Ten Hag acknowledged that the modifications were put into place following the game.
“I had to take them both off,” he stated.
“They battled to participate in the match, but we had to substitute them after 60 or 70 minutes.
“We’re working to get players back, and after the international break in particular, I believe players will return in the upcoming weeks.
“Hopefully Jonny Evans and Marcus Rashford are not too bad, that they recover and we can use them in the next game against Everton.”
