ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark suggested on “Get Up” that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ status among National Football League quarterbacks in unrivaled, as Mahomes prepares to face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas with an opportunity to lead the Chiefs to back-to-back championships.
But Clark added during his argument that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is the only other QB in the conversation, who has shown he can compete with Mahomes.
“Patrick Mahomes ain’t got no rival. He does not have one,” Clark said Monday morning. “It’s Patrick Mahomes and everybody else. And if you bring in anybody into the conversation, it’s only Joe Burrow. Because right now, he’s the only person in the AFC that has shown that he can slow his heartbeat down and compete against the great.”
Clark defended Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson when ESPN analyst Bart Scott insisted that Wilson employed a “dirty style of tackling” against the Baltimore Ravens. Clark insisted that Wilson didn’t intentionally hurt Ravens tight end Mark Andrews.
