Happy go lucky: Emma Watson seemed to be in her element as she mooched about on the set of her new movie The Circle in Los Angeles on Friday

The British actress looked demure in a red knit sweater which she paired with navy blue trousers as she jostled around on set.

She rounded off her casual look with matching navy pumps, perfect for exploring.

She appeared to be sporting some sort of leg injury with her lower left leg in bandage, although it didn’t appear to hamper her stride or dampen her spirits.

The Harry Potter star wore her soft blonde tresses ties back off her face and didn’t appear to be wearing any make-up as she mingled with her colleagues.

The Circle is a big screen adaptation of Dave Eggers’s bestseller and is being directed by James Ponsoldt.

The young actress will play a woman hired for a big job in an Internet monopoly called The Circle, which links users’ personal emails, social media, banking and purchasing with its universal operating system.

The novel turns into a contemporary thriller about the perils of life in a digital age where personal data is collected, sifted, monetized and used for surveillance, rendering privacy obsolete.

‘Emma Watson is one of my favourite actors, and her incredible talent, sensitivity and deep intelligence will bring an electric energy to The Circle,’ James told Variety in June.

As well as playing the male lead, Tom Hanks, 59, will also produce the sci-fi drama.

Emma has starred in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, The Bling Ring and Noah, to name a few, and is set to appear in Disney’s live-action Beauty And The Beast, due out in 2017

She will next co-star with Ethan Hawke and Harry Potter’s David Thewlis in director Alejandro Amenabar’s Regression, about a father accused of a crime he has no memory of committing, due out December 31.
