Elizabeth Olsen Sheds Light On Her And Husband Robbie Arnett’s Pre-Pandemic Wedding

After revealing last year that she and Robbie Arnett had secretly married, when referring to him as her ‘husband’ in an interview, actor Elisabeth Olsen has since shared that the couple have been Mr and Mrs for longer than fans previously thought.

During a joint appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, the 33-year-old was asked if she and Arnett had wed during lockdown, to which she replied: ‘We never really talked much about our marriage.

‘We eloped, and then we had a wedding at another time, but it was before Covid.’

Arnett added: ‘I just never talked about it.’

Olsen later said she was lucky she and Arnett tied the knot before the pandemic outbreak and the consequent travelling restrictions. ‘I had to work in England and there are visa issues with that,’ she explained. ‘So we luckily timed things out really well.’

Co-host Julia Cunningham then joked: ‘Otherwise, you would have had to like, what? Smuggle Robbie over the border?’

Olsen replied: ‘He wouldn’t have been able to come at all actually. ‘And also everything was so backed up. You couldn’t even like try to get married then. But it ended up working out.’

Olsen and Arnett went public with their romance in September 2017, months after meeting while on holiday in Mexico.

They got engaged in July 2019 when Arnett proposed with an emerald engagement ring.

Olsen let slip about her marriage while talking to Kaley Cuoco for Variety‘s Actors on Actors series in 2021.

While explaining that she was doing the interview from her bathroom due to construction noises, she referred to ‘husband’ Arnett as a ‘f**king cutie’.
