Elizabeth Olsen breaks down in tears as she plays a tormented young widow in the first official trailer for Sorry For Your Loss

She is known for playing a superhero Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But Elizabeth Olsen, 29, is making her way to smaller digital displays, where she’ll lead the new Facebook Watch series Sorry For Your Loss.

The forthcoming show released its first trailer on Tuesday, and is set to hit the social media network’s video-on-demand service September 18.

The Kill Your Darlings actress is playing the role of Leigh Gibbs, a young widow who is dealing with recent loss of her husband Matt, played by Mamoudou Athie, 29.

Looking back: ‘Matt was the glue that held us together,’ she remarks over a beach scene filled with yet unmentioned friends

The trailer then digs back into wistful moments from their all-too-short relationship.

Also starring in the upcoming series are Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s Kelly Marie Tran in the role of Olsen’s sister, while Janet McTeer plays their mom.

The series will debut on Facebook on Tuesday, September 18 at 9pm ET.
