Eder Militao is back! Real Madrid defender played his first match after 232 DAYS as he stepped onto the field against Athletic Club following a long absence due to an ACL injury

After entering the game late against Athletic Club, Eder Militao made his Real Madrid comeback for just the second time this year.

WHAT HAPPENED?

For the first time since their season-opening match, the defender was included on the Madrid roster for their La Liga match on Sunday. He played the last two minutes of Sunday’s match at the Santiago Bernabeu, taking Dani Carvajal’s place in stoppage time. Goalie Andriy Lunin even kicked the ball out of play to let the Brazilian defender onto the field.

THE BIGGER PICTUREMilitao made his first public appearance in 232 days on Sunday. When he last played in the season opener, he sustained an injury that forced him to leave the game after just 50 minutes, and an anterior cruciate ligament tear later on eliminated him from the game.
