Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr have signed Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina on a two-year contract.



The 33-year-old goalkeeper joined a new stop after his contract expired with the Italian Serie A team.

 


Ospina is Al Nassr’s second signing of the summer after Ivory Coast left-back Ghislain Konan and is expected to feature in the 2023 AFC Champions League after the club finished third in the season 2021-2022 Saudi Pro League.

 


Al Nassr is Ospina’s fifth professional club, with the keeper having started his career with Colombia’s Atletico Nacional in 2006, before moving on to Nice and Arsenal.

 


Ospina played 33 times for Napoli in the 2021-2022 season, with 31 matches in Serie A, one in the Italian Cup and one in the Europa League.

 


Ospina won the Colombian Championship twice with Atletico (2006-2007, 2007-2008), the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2015 and 2017, and the Charity Shield with the Gunners in 2018. In 2020, he won a championship medal Italian National Cup with Napoli.

 

Ospina made his international debut for Colombia in 2007, and went on to represent his country 124 times, surpassing the previous record of Carlos Valderrama. He was a member of the Colombian team at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups./.
