Popular YouTuber and Twitch streamer Asmongold recently got banned from World of Warcraft Season of Discovery after the game went live on November 30, 2023. The gamer is known for primarily focusing his content on one of the favorite games of Hollywood star Henry Cavill. The actor has shared his love for games on multiple occasions and has also said that he almost lost the role of Superman as he was busy playing World of Warcraft.
Asmongold’s brief ban led to many discussions on social media, with some even assuming that the reason behind the ban was his name. However, soon after getting unbanned, the streamer revealed the reason for his suspension, saying that he did not do anything wrong.
Asmongold Got Banned From World of Warcraft
On December 2, 2023, the virtual realm of World of Warcraft was shaken by the ban of the popular Twitch streamer, Asmongold. He faced an unexpected ban during the highly anticipated World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery, and it was soon a hot topic of discussion within the MMORPG community.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, he said that his account got suspended, and he received the notice that he was “suspended for three days.” He also mentioned that it could have happened due to mass reporting. As many raised concern over his name, the content creator said that he would not have made the name if he knew that it was against the rules.
However, he also stated that if there were any issues with the name, he would accept the suspension and change it soon as well. Asmongold was unbanned the same day and later shared that there were no such issues, as he revealed the real reason for his ban.
Why Asmongold Got Banned From World of Warcraft?
As he got unbanned from the game, Asmongold revealed that the reason behind him was actually mass reporting. He then explained that he had an idea that it would be the potential reason, as that’s why he “wasn’t mad about it.” He further said,
“They said it was a result of mass reports and they unbanned. They unbanned me because I did nothing wrong. I was right, they were wrong. Cry about it, all you f**king want! But, there it is. Wow!”
The streamer also said that he is glad to be back in the game and that there were no issues due to his name. As viewers asked him how he got involved in such a drama, the gamer said, “I don’t know. I’m just trying to play a game man like I don’t get it.” Further talking to his audience, he also shared that he will soon make a YouTube video explaining how he got banned and unbanned from World of Warcraft.
