Cowboys Swap Dak Prescott, Select New Quarterback in Staggering Three-Team Trade Plan Set to Transform NFL Dynamics

  • K.D Drummond of Cowboys Wire proposes a three-team trade involving the Cowboys, Patriots, and Bears
  • Patriots would acquire No.1 pick from Bears, Cowboys would trade Prescott to Bears for No.9 pick
  • Cowboys would select LSU QB Jayden Daniels, while Bears secure Pro Bowl-level quarterback in Prescott and Patriots move up in the draft.

An intriguing trade proposal has been put forward by K.D. Drummond of Cowboys Wire, suggesting a massive three-team trade involving the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears.

In this proposal, the Patriots would acquire the No. 1 pick from the Bears in exchange for their No. 3 and No. 68 picks, as well as their 2025 first and fourth-round selections.

Following this trade, the Cowboys would then trade Dak Prescott to the Bears for the No. 9 pick, the 2025 first-round pick that the Bears acquired from the Patriots, and a 2025 third-round pick. With the No. 9 pick, the Cowboys would select LSU QB Jayden Daniels.

The idea behind this trade is to have Daniels sit behind current Bears quarterbacks Justin Fields and Trey Lance for a year. The Cowboys would have three quarterbacks on their roster and would explore the option of using the fifth-year option on both Fields and Lance. This would give the Cowboys control and flexibility for two seasons, allowing them to potentially trade either quarterback for valuable assets in the future if they show promise.

The trade proposal being discussed is highly appealing and beneficial to all three teams involved. The Dallas Cowboys, who have been disappointed with their recent playoff performances under quarterback Dak Prescott, would gain a promising young quarterback to build their team around. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears would utilize some of their draft assets to acquire additional picks and secure a Pro Bowl-level quarterback in Prescott. Lastly, the New England Patriots would have the opportunity to move up in the draft and select a potential franchise quarterback like Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.
