Amazon-owned video doorbell company Ring today announced an out-of-this-world competition.
Ring’s Million Dollar Search for Extraterrestrials offers an incredible $1,000,000 grand prize to anyone aged 18 and over who lives in the 50 U.S. states and can capture unaltered video evidence of an actual extraterrestrial life form using their Ring device.
Video doorbells and home security cameras have gained massive popularity over the past decade, helping customers secure their homes and capture unexpected and sometimes hilarious moments in life.
Now the company is encouraging its users to turn their attention to the uncharted cosmos, just in time for the spookiest season of the year: Halloween.

Anyone who manages to capture real evidence of extraterrestrial life could have a chance to win a whopping $1,000,000.
Ring’s competition comes after revelations surrounding the United States government’s handling of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs.
David Grusch, a U.S. Air Force veteran and former employee of the National Reconnaissance Office, made explosive statements under oath during his testimony before the House Oversight Committee.
Grusch said the alleged alien technology reverse-engineering programs were potentially “destructive” and should serve as “a catalyst for a global reassessment of our priorities.”
But last month, Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett described the House Oversight Committee’s meeting with members of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as “illusory.”
While House members were briefed on NASA’s independent UFO report, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle demanded greater transparency from the Pentagon regarding the matter.
“I just want the truth,” Burchett said. “Give me the facts.”
How to Join the Hunt for Extraterrestrial Life
Between October 4 and November 3, 2023, eligible participants can submit their Ring video evidence to be reviewed by a panel of extraterrestrial judges and experts.
If your entry meets all of the requirements listed in the Official Rules that include a definition of extraterrestrial life and definitions of time required, sound and video quality, and the expert is satisfied that the sighting is indeed scientific evidence, you could win $1,000,000.
And even if you don’t spot an actual UFO, Ring is offering the chance to win an Amazon gift card worth $500 to those who demonstrate “Out of This World” creativity with their “extraterrestrial costumes, accessories, makeup, and props.” “.
