Chloe Bailey overcame heartbreak while channeling her mentor Beyonce in a fitted latex ensemble in her music video for Pray It Away, released on Friday.
The 24-year-old singer, who is the older sister of The Little Mermaid star, Halle Bailey, showcased both her incredible vocals and dance skills throughout the course of the nearly three-minute video.
The catchy track is the lead single of her upcoming solo album, In Pieces, which is set to release in March 2023.
Channeling: Chloe Bailey, 24, channeled her mentor Beyonce in her Pray It Away music video released on Friday – donning a black latex ensemble similar to Beyonce’s black latex bodysuit worn during her On The Run II Tour
During the thematic music video, Chloe emotionally sang a few lines of the track while standing in a darkened hallway with a lightbulb above her head cascading down an orange glow.
The singer flaunted her stunning curves in a form-fitting, black latex dress that fell down just below her knees.
The sleeveless ensemble sported a plunging, deep V-neck cut on the front, and channeled a body suit the Crazy In Love hitmaker wore during her On The Run II Tour.
Chloe accessorized the look with a pair of elbow length, black gloves along with sheer black tights and pumps. A black hat was placed on top of her locks and tilted to the side, similar to the hat Beyonce wore in a recent Tiffany’s campaign in September 2022.
Mentor: Chloe played the younger version of Beyonce’s character Lilly in the 2003 film The Fighting Temptations and has forged a close bond
Stylish: The sleeveless, ensemble contained a plunging, deep V-neck cut on the front and the singer added a pair of elbow length black gloves
Edgy: A black hat was placed on top of her locks and tilted to the side, revealing a pair of shiny, large gold-hooped earrings, similar to the hat the Crazy In Love hitmaker wore for her Tiffany’s campaign
Themed: She stood on a stone-covered floor inside of a church, with natural light flowing through a small, stain glassed window behind her
The music video opened up inside of a dimly lit cathedral with flickering candles lining a long aisle and ornate alter.
The clip then cut to Chloe kneeling at the very front of the church, with her hands folded together. She wore a white dress with a fitted corset top along with a sheer, white veil clipped on top of her locks, possibly referencing to being jilted at the alter.
The talented beauty added a pair of cross-shaped earrings that sparkled in the glowing lights.
Mini tealight candles surrounded her as she came to terms with her own heartbreak and falling in love with the wrong man. As the camera panned closer, tear streaks were visible on her cheeks.
As she contemplated her next move, Chloe sang, ‘Maybe I should go and take it to church/ And wash it away/ ‘Cause I want to hit where it hurts/ But Imma just pray it away/.’

As the song continued, the beauty could be seen lounging on a makeshift platform in a small space that contained hues of blue. Behind her on a bare wall, the projection of waves crashing down onto a sandy shore played on repeat.
She donned a different ensemble for the scene, and wore a sleeveless, flowy nude-colored dress made of a satin material. Her long locks were braided and effortlessly fell around her.
The bridge of the tune showed the star standing in what appeared to be an upper alcove where choir members would perform during a mass.
Chloe, who recently was seen in Dubai, sang as colorful light streamed in from above through an eye-catching, stain glassed window, with additional vocals backing her up as if she were in a choir.

The music video contained stunning visuals and concluded as the singer performed choreography solo near the alter. A bluish light shone through a window high up and acted as a spotlight that perfectly fell onto Chloe.
The camera then transitioned back to the singer inside of the blue space, however, the projection behind her had changed from crashing waves to a peaceful waterfall.
