CeeDee Lamb showed his charitable side recently, helping out a family in Dallas by gifting them $50,000 in house repairs for their Dallas home. The house was in poor condition, and it definitely needed a lot of work. CeeDee Lamb signed a four-year, $14,010,012 contract with the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie, and now, he’s been able to make an impact for some people with that money. Lamb knows what it’s like to have a house like that which is why he felt the need to reach out and help the family out.
Lamb’s rookie deal will be ending soon, and he will definitely be looking to get a pay raise from Dallas. He’s shown he can be the top receiver in the group for Dallas, and he has a lot of potential. Lamb will continue to provide charitable endeavors for other families. Actions like these always showcase the character of players. Lamb clearly has a lot of heart and sympathy for the community he lives in, and he wants to make a deeper impact on the people around him, more than just by playing in the NFL.
CeeDee Lamb Provides $50,000 In Repairs for Dallas Family
The Dallas WR commented on the gift, and he seemed more than thrilled to do something like this. Lamb has been on the other side of things, and he knows how bad a damaged home can be, so he has a personal motivating factor for this act.
“I’ve been in your shoes before,” Lamb said to the family on a phone call, as per SportsIllustrated. “My home has been damaged before… I am happy for your guys and it is the least that I can do.”
The Dawit family was in a bad place with their home. They had problems with “unstable floors, holes in their windows and broken bathrooms”, according to SportsIllustrated, and this was their first home in the US.
Teslot Dawit, daughter of the family, submitted the house to her Boys and Girls Club for renovation. CeeDee Lamb is a member of the Boys and Girls Club, and he was able to reach out and help the family.
Lamb surprised them via a virtual call, along with a framed note, and a signed jersey. Lamb provided the family with repairs worth $50,000. The Dallas WR also invited them to a game at the AT&T Center to watch the Cowboys play.
Lamb Will Look to Turn In a Monster Season
In the hopes of completing more donations and charity work for families, Lamb will be banking on another great year. After just missing out on 1,000 yards in his rookie season, Lamb has put up back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
He is a finished product, and now, he can truly escalate his game beyond what we’ve seen. He’s made some ridiculous catches, is one of the best route-runners in the league, and has safe hands. One more good year, and he’ll have a big contract on his hands to help more people out.
