The Buffalo Bills visit the New England Patriots on Sunday.
The Buffalo Bills apparently had to take shelter as police continue their search for the suspect in the shooting at Brown University.
On Saturday evening, news broke that a gunman opened fire at the Barus and Holley building at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Tragically, two people were killed, and eight people were critically wounded.
Police are still searching for a suspect. All they’ve said is that the suspect is a male wearing black clothing, CNN reports.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Buffalo Bills are staying at a hotel in downtown Providence that’s only two miles away from the horrific scene. Russini added that everyone in the area has been advised to take shelter.
The Bills visit the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Sunday (1:00 p.m. EST).

Russini noted that teams that visit the Patriots usually stay in Providence since it’s easier to access Gillette Stadium.

At 9-4, the Bills are on the verge of a seventh straight playoff appearance. But a loss to the Patriots on Sunday would clinch the division for Mike Vrabel’s squad. It would also conclude Buffalo’s run of five straight division titles.
Josh Allen has won three of his last four showdowns at Gillette Stadium. We’ll see if he can continue that momentum in a must-win game.
