Bruno Fernandes has his first training session with the Portuguese team and dreams of winning the Euro 2024 championship without Ronaldo

Bruno Fernandes has been a key player for the Portuguese team under boss Roberto Martínez, but his time at Old Trafford was very different.

At age 29, Fernandes helped Portugal qualify for the 2024 Euro Cup in Germany by scoring six goals and setting up eight others. They won ten games, scored 36 goals, and only gave up two goals.

“It was undoubtedly the best qualification I’ve experienced, but also the best for the team,” he said, stressing “a series of factors that bring out the best in me.”

Some of them were the “support” from his friends and how his “qualities stand out.”

Portugal will start getting ready for the Euro Cup with games against Sweden on Thursday in Guimarães, which is in the northern part of Portugal, and Slovenia on Tuesday, the 26th, in Ljubljana.

Bruno Fernandes made it clear that their goal for the event is to repeat Portugal’s victory in 2016: “The dream is very present in our minds…” We want to make them happy again.
