BREAKING: MAGA hack Scott Jennings gets absolutely OBLITERATED on live television while trying to downplay the disastrous effects of Donald Trump’s harebrained tariffs: “Make it make sense!”

“China’s massive population is really not a market that we can have completely turned off, I mean it’s like 25% of the entire market,” said CNN host Abby Phillip, discussing the ongoing boycott of American soybeans by China in response to Trump’s tariffs.

China’s refusal to buy our soybeans has devastated the sector and countless American farmers are now on the verge of bankruptcy and total collapse.

“They’re currently negotiating with China on updated trade agreements,” insisted Jennings.

“So then why are we bailing out farmers to the tune of fifty billion dollars?” asked Phillip.

The current reporting is that the White House is exploring “at least” $10 billion in bailout money for farmers. Once again, we see Republicans wasting our tax dollars to solve a problem that they themselves created.

“Because it’s apparent China has played hardball with some sectors of our agriculture, uh, economy while we work this out,” said Jennings, who always defends everything that Trump does. “What you hope is that the president and the Chinese government, uh, can come together on a trade agreement that encompasses everything.”

Of course, China has no reason to trust anything that Trump says. He could strike a trade deal, and then change his mind a few months later. The entire world knows that he’s a pathological liar and deeply unreliable and so they’re rewiring their economies to circumvent the United States in pursuit of stability. Whatever “deal” Trump ends up hammering out with China, you can rest assured that it will be a worse state of affairs for Americans than the status quo that was in place before.

“Obviously, the big news on that has always been TikTok but underneath that is that it is a market for a lot of things and in the short run there’s no doubt some farmers have been hurt,” Jennings continued. “Now, in other trade deals, other farms are ecstatic. The beef guys are really happy with what he’s doing in Europe. But on this China deal what you hope is when the final trade deal comes in, which should be soon—”

“What kind of negotiating position are we in when China knows that they’ve put us up against the wall, that our farmers are begging for a bailout, and then we are also bailing out, by the way, Argentina which is now selling— They’re competing with us! But we’re bailing out the people competing with our farmers. I mean make it make it make sense!” said Phillip.

Her point is well-observed. In a desperate attempt to save Argentina from its own destructive right-wing economic policies, the Trump administration wants to lend them $20 billion. Meanwhile, Argentina just sold 2.5 million metric tons of soybeans to China. Trump is screwing American farmers on both sides of the equation.

First, he destroyed their ability to sell to China, now he’s bailing out the country that swooped in to steal their market share. As it turns out, “America First” ended up being nothing more than a gullible bumper stick slogan.
