Is he boring you? Emma Watson only has eyes for her mobile phone as she heads out on a stroll with boyfriend Will Adamowicz

She may have been enjoying a romantic stroll with her handsome boyfriend.

But Emma Watson only seemed to have eyes for one thing as she stepped out in New York City over the weekend – her mobile phone.

The 22-year-old actress looked as though she was uttlerly engrossed in the device as she wandered through the streets of Manhattan with her beau, Will Adamowicz, in tow.

And the student seemed less than impressed with his girlfriend’s devotion to her phone, cutting a decidedly glum figure as he walked along.

Emma made sure she was wrapped up against the winter chill in a cosy-looking fur-lined parka jacket, which she teamed with a matching pashmina, thick leggings and rock chick inspired biker books.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower star kept the rest of her look equally casual, showcasing her natural beauty as she went seemingly make-up free.

Meanwhile, Will opted for a smart black tailored coat, jeans, tan leather shoes and a bright blue scarf for the couple’s daytime outing.

The pair met at Oxford University in 2011 while Will was on a one-year placement from Brown University in Rhode Island and Emma was making a second attempt at her English degree.

After dropping out to concentrate on her film career once again, the actress is said to be returning to her studies in January.

Emma recently admitted that she was a fan of American guys’ forward approach to dating, as she was used to being ‘ignored’ by men.

Speaking on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said: ‘I arrive in America, and I remember a few nights into Brown, this guy just being like, “I like you. You’re great. Let’s go on a date. Let’s do it”.

‘I’m like, “I’m sorry, what just happened?” This is like a huge culture shock for me. They’re very like open and very straight-forward – but they wear flip-flops and I don’t know if I like that.’
