Beyonce follows in Taylor Swift’s footsteps as she plans to release Renaissance Tour film in theaters – after Swift raked in MILLIONS in presale tickets alone

Taylor’s Eras Tour has also been turned into a cinematic experience.

The film, directed by Sam Wrench, will hit theaters in the US October 13. 

It was shot during the three nights the Karma artist performed at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The movie was given a waiver from the actors union, which is in the middle of a strike as SAG/AFTRA works to negotiate for better salaries and protections.

According to Deadline, pre-sales for Taylor’s film have already reached $65 million.

The projected opening is between $75 million and $125 million.

Swifties who were able to attend one of the concerts can re-live the experience and those who couldn’t will get a front row seat to one of the most successful shows in music history. 

AMC theaters is distributing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

Hometown: It’s believed that crews used the hitmaker’s shows in her hometown, Houston, to shoot the footage

A check of scheduled showtimes reveals that multiple showings are scheduled in multiple theaters, similar to the opening for the Barbie movie in July.

A check of showtimes in several cities indicated that many showings were all ready sold out or would be shortly. 

The Renaissance film should have similar success, once details have been ironed out.

According to Billboard, the Renaissance World Tour has grossed $461.3 million to date. 

It is ‘the highest grossing tour by a woman in the Boxscore archives’ according to the outlet.  

Taylor Swift has been on a break, but still filling stadiums as fans buy tickets to football games for a glimpse of the superstar as she cheers on her new beau, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, 33.

The Shake It Off singer will hit the road again in October, crisscrossing North America and South America through November and will begin touring internationally beginning in February 2024 in Tokyo.
