Arsenal’s training camp on Tuesday was full of happy moments following their ascension to the top of the Premier League table on November 25.
Kai Havertz scored a last-ditch winner away at the G-Tech stadium to help the Gunners claim three points against Brentford to leapfrog Manchester City and Liverpool, who had earlier played to a one-all draw.
The Gunners’ next game will come in the form of a Champions League home tie against Lens on November 29. A video doing rounds on social media showed head coach Mikel Arteta joining his players in a rondo session.
Arteta managed to nutmeg his captain, Martin Odegaard, before proceeding to do a light version of Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siuu’ celebration.
Odegaard just made a comeback from an injury layoff that saw him miss three games for the Gunners. He lasted the entire 90 minutes in the win against Brentford and was only withdrawn in stoppage time after Havertz’s goal.
The Norwegian missed out on his country’s games for November as they failed to qualify for the Euro Championships to be staged in Germany next year.
Arsenal will be out to get maximum points to secure the top spot in Group B before hosting Wolves in the Premier League on December 12.
